Key
West's airport has regularly scheduled service by several
airlines. Key West International Airport is approximately
158 miles south of Miami and offers car rental, taxi and
shuttle service.
By Land:
Key
West bound from Miami is a leisurely drive down the Overseas
Highway. To get out of the hectic traffic of Miami, take
I-95,I-75 or FL-836 to the Florida Turnpike which will
take you south to the Overseas Highway. The Overseas Highway
will take you all the way to the Southernmost Point in
Key West, Mile Marker 0.
The
Greyhound Shuttle (1-800-231-2222) also serves Key West
from the Miami International Airport, Marathon Airport
and the Key West International Airport.
By Sea:
Sail
through America's Caribbean. All channels are well marked,
marina's are plentiful and dock space is easily available.
Alternate Transportation:
Once
you arrive in Key West by land, air or sea, consider using
alternate methods of transportation.
Key
West has limousines, convenient public transportation,
taxis, shuttles, pedi-cabs, tour trains, trolleys, bikes
and scooters. You can park your car at any of the public
parking lots and at the Park-N-Ride garage at 300 Grinnell
Street in Old Town. And of course, there is the old fashioned
way of seeing the sights in Key West, by foot. Many of
Key West's attraction are easily within walking distance
of each other.
